Kodak Gallery-Sierra Nevada Pro Cycling Team – New Direction for 2008

September 13, 2007 (Smartville, CA) – Kurt Stockton and Robin Zellner announced today that they will dissolve their partnership in Principal Sports Management Group LLC (PSMG), the holding company that owns and operates The Kodak Gallery Pro Cycling Team, presented by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., by the end of the 2007 season.

PSMG was originally formed in 2004 to facilitate the combination of resources of the Kodak Gallery and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. cycling teams. After three years operating in a partnership, Kurt and Robin have decided to set out on separate ventures. Both intend to pursue operating professional teams in 2008 and are working to secure title and industry sponsors.

“Robin and I have enjoyed a very successful partnership for the last three years and while we have decided to pursue our own interests I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. I plan to continue operating a team in 2008 and beyond,” explained Kurt Stockton.

“Kurt and I have the utmost respect for each other. We have just decided to go in different directions,” states Robin Zellner. “We are parting on good terms and wish each other the best in future endeavors.”

Mr. Zellner aims to continue his relationship with Kodak noting, “Kodak Gallery and its parent company Eastman Kodak have been very satisfied with the marketing effectiveness of our program over the past eight years.” Zellner will continue to work with Eastman Kodak and his company, Big Ring Productions, LLC., to secure sponsorship for a new team in 2008. “Our team has had a tremendous season and is doing very well at the Tour of Missouri. My hope is that companies watching from the sidelines will recognize the incredible marketing opportunity that exists in leveraging the investments we have already made in building this program and the chance to continue its winning ways without missing a beat,” Zellner explained. “I look forward to what lies ahead and to fielding a competitive team for the 2008 season.”

Mr. Stockton also plans to enter 2008 with a new team run by his company, KS Marketing, LLC. He is currently in negotiations with sponsors and will announce the team’s title and supporting sponsors soon. Stockton plans to continue his long standing relationship with Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and to build a program with a range of sponsors who share Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s passion for environmental stewardship, sustainability and healthy living. Stockton noted, “The team took a leadership position this year by becoming the first team ever to be completely carbon neutral. This initiative has taken on a life of its own that I want to see carried forward. Professional cycling reaches a vast audience and is a great vehicle for inspiring people across the country and around the world.”
