Joyride Huckfest on Thanksgiving Weekend at Whistler!

October 1, 2005 (Whistler, B.C.) – The countdown is on for an end of season celebration at Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Bike Park. Joyride Huckfest, taking place in Whistler October 8 – 10, is the culmination of an incredible, record-breaking season.

Originally produced by Joyride back in 2001, Huckfest has always been the wrap-up celebration of a successful mountain biking season in the Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Bike Park. “Traditionally, the closing weekend is full of good times in the park, as it’s the last chance to rip it up for the season”, says Paddy Kaye, of Joyride.

This year’s Joyride Huckfest includes some super fresh formats with a Super D, the Joyride DH, Amateur Slopestyle, and a showing of Freeride Entertainment’s latest movie premier NWD6 Unchained.

Event Details
Special Lift Tickets are available with registration for $5 per day. Event registration is $10 per participant plus insurance. NWD6 movie premiere tickets available for $10 at Millennium Place. For more information call 604-935-8410.

Saturday October 8
Super D is a growing style of event integrating a climbing aspect to a traditional downhill time trial event. The trails will include several uphill sections on the way down.
Slopestyle will take place in the Boneyard and is open to all, with restricted features and limited tricks permitted.
NWD6 Unchained is the latest bike porn flick by Freeride Entertainment. An all ages show at Millennium Place starts at 7pm.

Sunday October 9
Joyride DH held on Joyride’s namesake trail, which has never been raced on, the upper and lower trails will be linked to provide a classic DH event. NWD6 Unchained late night show featuring the Huckfest closing party and live entertainment by Arthur Funkarelli at the GLC.

Monday October 10
Last chance to rip the Park this season.
