release by GESTEV

July 15, 2014 (Beaupré, QC) – With less than 3 weeks to go, the Corporation Coupe du Monde de vélo de montagne Mont-Sainte-Anne and GESTEV are proud to announce Jeep as Velirium’s newest partner of the UCI Cross Country World Cup from July 31 to August 3, 2014. A major partnership for the organizing committee, Jeep will be presenting the cross-country event, held on Sunday August 3 at Mont-Sainte-Anne at 9 AM, in which the world’s best mountain bikers will be competing for the top spot on the podium.

A strong fit
Jeep is extremely pleased with this new partnership which will run for three years. “ The Jeep brand is extremely excited about our partnership with the Velirium Mountain Biking Festival,” said Ed Broadbear, VP of Marketing, Chrysler Canada Inc. “It’s our first time as the Official Vehicle Sponsor and Presenting Sponsor of an event like this in the province of Quebec and builds on our sponsorship of similar events in B.C. With a mutual love for the outdoors and great on-trail adventures, Jeep and mountain biking are a perfect pairing.”

The organizing committee is also very happy with this newest addition to the Vélirium family. “This collaboration makes a great deal of sense. We have a high-quality partnership driven by a long term vision for sports development and events,” says Lisa Linton, Senior Director – Partnerships and experiential at Gestev.

“This major partner will have a strong presence at both venues, in Québec with urban freestyle event City8, and in Mont Sainte-Anne with the World Cup events, offering the public a chance to win a vehicle of their choice and Jeep equipment directly at the venue,” she added.

Festivities kick off on Thursday, July 31st at place D’Youville in Quebec City and runs through Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Mont- Sainte-Anne. Admission is free.
