October 13, 2011 (Geelong, AUS) – Canada’s Nic Hamilton (Jelly Belly p/b Kenda) is sitting 14th overall following Stage 1 from Whittlesea to Ballarat, 170.4km, won by race leader Rhys Pollock (Aus) Drapac Professional Cycling. Hamilton was 13th on the stage. Janse Van Rensburg (RSA) MTN – Qhubeka claimed stage 2 from Ballarat to Geelong 140.6km with Hamilton finishing in 76th.
