Japan Cup

October 23, 2005 – Although the road season is winding down, there was still one more race with a European presence – but in Asia. Italian Damian Cunego took the 150km race, beating Illes Baleares’ Paco Mancebo. Although the pack was comprised of mostly Asian riders, there were several European teams, such as Cunego’s Lampre squad, Quick.Step, and Illes Baleares.

Japan Cup

October 26, 2003 – Italian Sergio Barbero (Lampre) has won one of the last big races on the pro calendar, and one of the biggest in Japan – the Japan Cup. Barbero beat German Patrik Sinkewitz (Quick.Step-Davitamon) to the line, with Italian Guido Trentin (Cofidis) coming in third.
