July 27, 2015 (Toronto, ON) – Pedal caught up with Cycling Canada President, John Tolkamp, and Canadian Pan Am Games road/track cycling team member Remi Pelletier-Roy, during Saturday’s road races, the final cycling competitions at the TO2015 Games. At the time of our interviews Canada had 17 medals (10G 3S 4B) but more hardware was on the way and cycling’s final medal tally at the 2015 Games ended up a record total of 20 medals (11G 4S 5B).

Tolkamp spoke to us during the women’s road race and gave his perspective on the team’s fabulous results and touched on Toronto’s bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games.

Pelletier-Roy stopped by during the men’s race as he abandoned after facing a “bad day at the office” with “no legs.” He did what he could to help his teammates but just didn’t have it today but he takes home a bronze as part of the Men’s Team Pursuit on the track.
