by pedalmag.com

July 27, 2014 (Paris, France) – Pedal caught up with Leah Kirchmann (Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies) who sprinted to third place at the inaugural La Course by Le Tour, for another landmark result. Kirchmann is having a dream season as she also racked up three victories at the 2014 Canadian Road Nationals becoming the first rider to winner all three national titles – time trial, road race, criterium – at one championships. Check out the cool photo of Annie Ewart, Svein Tuft, Kirchmann and Denise Ramsden at the Tour de France. Tuft became the first Canuck to wear the national team jersey at the Tour and Kirchmann became the first Canadian to wear the maple on the Champs-Élysées – ladies first as they say. They made history together for another Canadian first, meeting up at the end of the Tour in Paris for this memorable photo opp – bravo.
