February 11, 2011 (Ottawa, ON) – Commonwealth Games Canada is currently inviting applications for a position within its International Development through Sport (IDS) unit. The International Internship Programs Officer will report to the Manager of International Programs, and will be responsible and accountable for the administration, development and implementation of CGC’s International Development through Sport internship programs. This position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong technology skills and a working knowledge of French will be considered an asset. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Sport Management, International Development or the equivalent and have at least two years’ experience working in related fields.

This full-time, one-year position is based in Ottawa and may require overseas travel and/or irregular working hours. Salary is commensurate with experience, and the position includes a competitive benefits package.
