Full Speed Ahead (FSA)

FSA electrifies their lines with the introduction of the K-Force WE wireless road group set. The K-Force WE is an elegantly designed, high-tech, electronic drive system that makes use of wireless communication between the shifters and the derailleurs. That’s right, no communication cables.

The K-Force WE shifters feature UD carbon levers, available in small and large, and make use of ANT+ Wireless technology. A light weight, coin-cell battery offers power to relay info to the front and rear derailleurs.

The derailleurs are independently powered by a seat-post battery, which offers the advantage of a larger battery for heavy shifting, and according to FSA, approximately 4,000 to 6,000 km of ride per charge (depending on a rider’s shifting habits).

Shifting is monitored and analyzed by the K-Force WE system and through computer algorithms, provide an estimate of battery charge remaining. Charge levels are communicated through four LED’s on the top of the front derailleur and can be fully charged through an interface on the rear derailleur in about an hour.

The K-Force WE rear derailleur is an 11-speed system with a 30T total capacity and Max. sprocket size of 28T. The front derailleur is a Ti body with stainless steel hardware.

Other components in the K-Force WE group include a crankset, with hollow carbon arms (165, 170, 172.5, 174, 177.5, and 180mm), forged AL 7050 BB386EVO spindle and CNC chain rings. (53/39, 52/36, 50/34), and a K-Force brake set, cassette, and chain.

There is also an Android App available for customized adjustments to your K-Force drive train, and for storing your adjustment settings for future reference. Visit here for more on FSA.

According to 4iiii leg imbalances tend to create inaccurate measurements at high watts output. The Precision Pro captures independent wattage from both left and right legs together and separately, providing more accurate feedback while allowing riders to maximize power transfer and pedaling efficiency.

The Precision Pro runs off of a CR2032 coin battery which the company says it will run for about 150 hours before needing a change. An App for the system is also in the works and will be released soon.

You can choose the Precision Pro Ride Ready, which comes pre-installed on a new Shimano DURA-ACE FC-9000 series crankset, or the Precision Pro Factory Install, which is installed on your existing crankset at the 4iiii factory.

4iiii’s partnership with the Etixx-Quick Step World Pro Tour Cycling Team means their products are tested and trusted by pro athletes. Check here for more details.
