Ontario Tool Trailer Available for Club Projects
The IMBA Canada Mobile Tool Trailer Project equips clubs across Ontario with the tools they need to build sustainable and enjoyable trails – from pulaskis and mcleods, to cutting-edge trail education.

The project consists of 2 components: 1) a series of sustainable trailbuilding workshops, and 2) the Tool Trailer lending program.

The Trailer is equipped with enough tools and supplies for a crew of up to 40 people. Clubs across Ontario can sign out the mobile tool trailer for their trail projects.

A Permanent Home for Chicopee Bike Park
The newest rendition of the Chicopee Bike Park in Kitchener, Ontario is seeing tremendous success in its permanent location to the side of the ski slopes, with an average of 50 riders hitting the dirt each evening. The park was an IMBA Canada project, designed in partnership with local riders and builders Nick Outram and Brock Reinhardt. Check out the latest pics and videos of the park at www.Pinkbike.com, as well as this article in the Kitchener Waterloo Record here.

IMBA Canada Builds First Pumptrack in Ottawa Region
Earlier this month, IMBA Canada joined up with organizers at Camp Fortune for a day of trail building in Gatineau, Quebec. Over 20 volunteers came out on a cool, bright Saturday to help repair cross-country trails and build the first pump track in the National Capital Region. The 60-foot-long, oval track was designed to be accessible to riders of all ages and experience levels. It will be open for local riders and will be used as a teaching tool by Mountain Bike Kids, a summer day camp that runs at Camp Fortune. The trailday was supported by the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion’s Trails for Life grant through funding of the IMBA Canada Ontario Mobile Tool Trailer program. It’s impossible to update the IMBA website with everything IMBA Canada is up to – often we’re jumping from project to project with little internet access or time to prepare a formal write-up. Augusta to Host 2010 IMBA World Mountain Bike Summit
The International Mountain Bicycling Association has announced that Augusta, Georgia, will host the 2010 IMBA World Summit (May 5-8). “Great communities build great trails” is the theme of the event, which is expected to be the largest yet in IMBA’s history of hosting international summits. Topics will include destination and urban trail networks, land conservation and sustainable trails, youth outreach and new programs designed to grow local capacity for the 700+ clubs and patrols in IMBA’s global network. In addition to informative seminars and networking, the gathering will feature great parties and plenty of riding — including a catered tour of the Forks Area Trail System (FATS), an IMBA Epic. The event is open to the public. Find out more here.
