Hincapie Sports To Supply Tour of Georgia

September 25, 2005 – Hincapie Sportswear, Inc. (Hincapie), a leading manufacturer and marketer of distinctive clothing for the performance cyclist, has been chosen as the official cycling apparel supplier for the 2006 Tour de Georgia (Tour), America’s premier, professional cycling event. Hincapie will provide premium Tour custom apparel for stage winners, general race and other official category leaders. In addition to being the official cycling apparel supplier to the Tour, Hincapie will also have an extended presence throughout the entire week-long event.

Hincapie will produce special jerseys for the Tour, including Best Young Rider, King of the Mountain, Sprint and Leaders jerseys, customized with their team sponsor logos. Fans and race attendees will have the opportunity to purchase official Tour apparel in the exposition area that follows the race from town to town. Official apparel will include cycling jerseys, hats and socks.

Tour de France Stage 15 winner George Hincapie rode the 2004 Tour de Georgia in support of eventual winner Lance Armstrong. “George has always been fond of racing so close to home in the Tour de Georgia,” said Rich Hincapie, brother to the 10-time Tour de France veteran. “It’s one of his favorite races in the US. The Tour de Georgia has been a bright spot on America’s cycling landscape for several years now, and we look forward to participating in 2006. We all feel that next year’s event will be even bigger and better than ever.”
