Hamilton to Host Public Consultations on 2015 Pan Am Games Velodrome

May 10, 2010 (Hamilton, ON) – The situation regarding the Hamilton Velodrome for the 2015 Pan Am Games continues to heat up. We last reported on funding issues for the new velodrome as many feel it’s underfunded to meet world class levels. Another issue is the site of the new complex which is planned for a west harbour but is meeting with big negative reactions from Hamiltion Tiger Cats owner Bob Young amongst others.

According to the Hamilton Spectator the City of Hamilton Pan Am Games staff will now host two community consultations – May 11 and 12 – at 7 p.m. at Sackville Seniors Centre, 780 Upper Wentworth St. Discussions Tuesday will focus on the velodrome planned for a west harbour location.
