Great Weekend of Racing at National Cycling Centre – Atlantic Canada

August 25, 2014 (Dieppe, NB) – A great weekend at the National Cycling Centre – Atlantic Canada just concluded under beautiful skies. Today’s Eliminator and cross country races wrapped up a busy weekend in a great way!

The weekend started with a youth development MTB camp, and was followed by the Atlantic Open Track Championships. This event was run under and Omnium format where the riders competed into 5 exciting events. At the end of the day, Dieppe’s Julien Roussel (FitWorks / Apogée) was crowned the Atlantic Champion. He was joined on the podium by Alex Cormier (FitWorks) and Charles Cormier (Mike’s Bike Shop).

Sunday was the holding of the Subway Mountain Bike Cup! It started early with a fun, and spectator friendly Eliminator race. A short, fast pace event, with lots of action. Here are the results of this event.

Groupe A:

Group B (Youth)
1. Anthony Arseneau (Fitworks Peter Wedge)

Of course, such a good weekend would not be complete without a great cross country race! The course was in excellent shape, and participants had many good comments about it. Here are the results, top three of each category:
