Contest Rules
• No purchase necessary. Restrictions apply.
• Must be Canadian resident to win prizes (excluding Quebec).
• Contest is open from October 16 until November 30, 2014.
• Winners to be announced the week of December 8, 2014.
• You can upload your Great Bike Moment text (200 words or less), photos (1-3), video (link to YouTube) via the link at the bottom.
• Each entrant may only enter one Great Bike Moment story.
• You must supply your full name, address and e-mail address to be eligible to win any prizes.
• All prize winners agree to allow their names to be published at pedalmag.com and/or in Pedal Magazine.
• Winners of the Great Bike Moment Contest to be selected by a panel judges from Pedal, CLIF Bar & Company and Specialized.
• The contest is open to all Canadian residents (excluding Quebec residents) age 18+ at the time of entry.
• Employees, contractors or freelancers of Pedal Magazine, CLIF Bar & Company and Specialized are not eligible to win any prizes.
• Prize substitutions are at the discretion of the supplier.
• By entering the Contest you grant, Clif Bar & Company, Pedal Magazine, Specialized (collectively “Sponsors”) and their affiliated companies the unconditional, irrevocable, royalty-free and perpetual right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, and otherwise use the Entry  (with or without using your name) in any media throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party.

• By submitting an Entry you forever waive any rights of copyrights, trademark rights, patent rights, privacy rights, and any other legal or moral rights in the entries (photo and and stories) that may preclude the Sponsors use of the photos and stories or require your permission for the Sponsors to use the photos and stories.   By entering the Contest you further agree not to instigate, support, maintain, or authorize any action, claim, or lawsuit against the Sponsors, or any other person, on the grounds that any use of the Entry or any derivative works, infringe any of your rights, including, without limitation, copyrights, or moral rights. You further acknowledge that the Sponsors are in no way obligated to broadcast, publish or use your Entry. Nothing herein shall constitute an employment, joint venture, or partnership relationship between you and the Sponsors. In no way are you to be construed as the agent or to be acting as the agent of the Sponsors.

• By submitting an Entry, you represent and warrant that (a) you are the creator of the Entry (b) the Entry is wholly original (c) the Entry does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights or any other legal or moral rights of any third party, including any current or former employer, and does not defame any person or identify any person by name other identifying information, (d) the Entry has not previously been entered in any other contest, (e) the Entry has not been previously published in any medium, (f) the Entry does not violate any law or regulation, (g) you own all rights to your Entry (including, without limitation, the copyrights in the photographs), (h) you are not affiliated with commercial talent unions and (i) you agree to waive any claim for reimbursement for any equipment or materials necessary to submit an Entry regardless of whether or not that Entry is selected for any prize. Sponsors determination as to whether any Entry potentially violates the rights of any third party is final.

• By entering the contest, entrants forever and irrevocably release, indemnify and hold the sponsors and each of their officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, shareholders, successors and assigns (collectively, “releasees”) harmless from and against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the contest or resulting directly or indirectly from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize awarded in connection with the contest, including without limitation personal injury, death and/or property damage, as well as claims based on publicity rights, defamation and/or invasion of privacy and the collection, use and/or sharing by sponsors of personally identifiable information of the entrants, or for any printing, production, typographical, human or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of any prize.

• By entering and participating in this contest, entrants: (a) fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these official rules and by all decisions of sponsors (which decisions shall be final and binding in all respects), including without limitation decisions regarding eligibility, winners and the interpretation of terms used in these official rules; (b) represent and warrant that all information provided by entrant in connection with the contest is true, accurate and complete; and (c) agree to comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations. sponsors reserve the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, to disqualify and/or deem ineligible to participate in this contest or any future sponsor promotions, any individual it suspects: (a) to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or any website; (b) to be acting in violation of the official rules or sponsors privacy policy or other terms, conditions or guidelines; (c) to be acting in bad faith or in a disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; (d) to have failed to agree to these official rules; or (e) to be in violation of these official rules. any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any internet site or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest is a violation of these official rules as well as criminal and civil laws. should sponsor believe or become aware that such an attempt has been, is being, or will be made, sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages from any responsible entrant(s) and other responsible individual(s) in the attempted damage to the fullest extent permitted by law, including without limitation criminal prosecution.
