Global Relay’s Bridge the Gap Fund Accepting Applications for Elite Rider and Youth Club Grants

November 09, 2016 (Vancouver, BC) – Global Relay’s Bridge the Gap (GRBTG) Fund is pleased to announce it is accepting applications for 2017 elite rider funding as well as for youth club seeding grants. Established in 2012, the goal of the fund is to support the development of cyclists from youth to professional ranks. Since it’s launch, GRBTG has played an integral role in the development Canadian road cyclists by assisting over a twenty riders in obtaining professional trade team contracts on teams from around the world.

The fund is also working hard upstream to grow the sport among youth.  In 2015, it launched its youth club seeding grants program in an effort to bolster young rider cycling initiatives in the country and ultimately increase the number kids involved in racing. This program has supported four youth clubs nationally and looks to expand its reach in 2017.

If you are an athlete or a youth club interested in applying to either of the Fund’s programs please click on the links listed below for more information. Submissions for both close on November 14, 2016.
