May 29, 2014 (Rifugio Panarotta, Italy) – Julian David Arredondo Moreno (Col) Trek Factory Racing made his mark today when he won the 171km Giro Stage 18 from Belluno to Rifugio Panarotta, logging the biggest victory of his career to date.
He finished 17s ahead of second place, Fabio Andres Duarte Arevalo (Col) Colombia. The stage was also a good one for Canada’s Ryder Hesjedal (Can) Garmin Sharp. Although Hesjedal lost a few seconds in the GC, he moved up two spots into seventh after Cadel Evans (Aus) BMC Racing Team lost even more time.1.
