May 22, 2013 (Vicenza, Italy) – Giovanni Visconti (Ita) Movistar Team took his second stage victory at the Giro winning Stage 17 from Caravaggio to Vicenza, 214km, with a bold attack on the Crosara climb with around 15km to go. As the peloton tried to regroup Visconti used the technical finish to his advantage delivering another win for his team as well. Ramunas Navardauskas (Ltu) Garmin-Sharp won the bunch sprint for second as Vincenzo Nibali (Ita) Astana Pro Team looks unstoppable as tomorrow’s ITT presents another opportunity for glory.
