Giro d’Italia Stage 13 Results – Nieve Wins, Hesjedal 14th Overall

May 20, 2016 (Cividale del Friuli, ITA) – Mikel Nieve (Esp) delivered a win for Team Sky taking Stage 13 from Palmanova to Cividale del Friuli, 170km as Andrey Amador (Crc) Movistar Team assumed the race lead and captured the maglia rosa from Bob Jungels (Lux) Etixx – Quick-Step who sits second overall. Amador is the first Costa Rican rider to don the fabled pink jersey. Ryder Hesjedal (Can) Trek-Segafredo was 24th on the stage and dropped on spot to 14th on GC. Hugo Houle (Can) AG2R La Mondiale finished 54th and Svein Tuft (Can) Orica-GreenEdge was 163rd working for their respective teams.
