Giga-Bike Inc. Partners With Dave Zabriskie

August 29, 2005 – Giga-Bike Inc. has signed Dave Zabriskie of Team CSC to a 16-month contract starting September 1, 2005. Giga-Bike is a bicycle training-log software that cyclists can install on their PC and log their training details. “Dave Zabriskie is a great athlete, who has proven he is able to overcome obstacles in his path to victory in road racing, and has a unique personality and perspective on the sport. He is clearly a strong rider with a bright future and his action and determination closely parallels the methods and objectives we have for Giga-Bike. We know Dave will be a recognizable, likable and inspirational personality to partner with our company ” says President Calvin Straathof. Dave Zabriskie grew up and began his cycling career in Utah. Dave turned pro in 2001 and rode alongside Lance Armstrong on the US Postal Team before moving to CSC in 2004. Dave is the only American cyclist besides Lance Armstrong and Greg Lemond ever to wear the Yellow Jersey in the Tour de France. Dave’s winning time-trial in the opening prologue of the 2005 Tour de France was the fastest recorded time in over 100 years of Tour de France history. Dave is the only American to win stages in all three Grand Tours including the Tour de France, Giro D’Italia and the Tour of Spain. “Joining the Giga-Bike team is important on many levels. I have found great joy from my cycling and mostly from the fitness gains that I make each year. Many of my gains have been realized from monitoring my training history and building upon it. My hope is that cyclists of all levels will incorporate Giga-Bike into their daily routine so that they will see gains and find the same love that I have for the sport.” Says Dave Zabriskie.

Giga-Bike works with any cycle-computer and heart-rate monitor. Log Rides, Record Race Results, Monitor Your Health, Nutrition, Strength Training & Bicycle Maintenance.
