February 7, 2011 – The Niagara region’s Lake to Lake Events Inc. is extremely pleased to announce that the 13th edition of the Great Lake to Lake Mountain Bike Classic will once again be sponsored by Giant Bicycles. As well the 5th edition of the Pond to Pond will have title sponsorship via Great Wolf Lodge. Both events happen on Father’s Day, which is Sunday June 19th this year, at 11 a.m.

An epic point to point adventure which runs from the shores of Lake Erie to the shores of Lake Ontario, the L2L has continued to attract over 1000 participants annually providing a superb community event for all types of mountain bikers. A unique blend of every type of terrain imaginable, combined with the beauty of the Welland Canal and Twelve Mile Creek, makes this event a must on the summer calendar.

Growing in popularity the GWL Pond to Pond has become a true family event with many Father’s and their children competing along side each other. From Brock University this 22 km event takes the same route as the L2L and finishes just prior to the main events winners shooting down on to the beach. Everyone enjoys a catered meal and beach party at Ontario finest finishing venue as each and every competitor is cheered on. Registration will be available on the OCA site in early spring.
