February 27, 2017 – What’s going on with Geoff Kabush this year? Good question! This off-season has brought some big changes, the end of another era in my career, and an exciting project that I’ve been busy working on over the winter. After a memorable five years racing under the 3 Rox Racing banner I’m embarking in a new direction starting my own program with SCOTT Sports and Maxxis Tires as title sponsors. After years of chasing goals and dreams around the world I still love riding and racing my bike and that isn’t going to stop anytime soon. The difference now is I’ll be chasing more trails, fun, and adventure instead of points and rankings.

Along with the support of SCOTT Sports and Maxxis I’m looking forward to working directly with Shimano, GU Energy, Louis Garneau, WD-40, Stan’s NoTubes, Fox Racing Shox, Pro Components, Stages Cycling, BarFly, Oakley, and Lizard Skins. I’ll still race some traditional XC races but I’ll also be focused on a new array of exciting events, projects, stories, and R&D work this year. I’m looking forward to events like Sea Otter, Epic Rides, BC Bike Race, Breck Epic, Downieville, Trans-Cascadia, Grinduro, Moab Rocks, and many others on dirt, gravel, and pavement.

There are so many fun bikes this year and I’m really looking forward to riding SCOTT’s Olympic Gold Medal winning Spark 900 as well as the Scale 900, Spark 27+, Genius 700, Genius LT 27+, Addict CX, and Addict Disc at specific events. I’m entering an amazing 14th year riding on Maxxis rubber and along with my dream selection sponsors like Shimano I’m going to have some amazing equipment to work with. It’s been a rewarding process putting together my own design ideas and custom look for 2017 with Louis Garneau; I can’t wait to show my new jersey off soon. Besides great nutrition GU Energy is also helping me work on custom painted helmets to complete my look; a fun project and something I always wanted to do. I’m really looking forward to representing my sponsors this year and I can’t thank everyone enough for their support.

Hope to see many of you at events this year but you can also follow along with my adventures, find details about my bikes, current schedule, and history on my new website GeoffKabush.com. You can also find me at the usual username GeoffKabush on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Keep riding until the fun stops!
