July 18, 2014 (Gabriola, BC) – The first Gabriola Omnium is taking place on the beautiful Gulf Island of Gabriola on the weekend of August 16-17. It is a three stage race consisting of a prologue time trial, an evening criterium and a series of short, but tough, road races for each of three performance-based categories. These will be selected based on the times for the prologue. The event is open to all youth and masters riders holding a UCI licence or a BC citizens’ permit. One day licences will be available at the registration.
