February 1, 2011 (Ottawa, ON) – Fresh Air Experience and the Ottawa Bicycle Club are pleased to announce Team ‘Fresh Air Experience/Ottawa Bicycle Club’. This program is committed to provide a supportive development environment for U23 male athletes and we welcome talent from across Ontario and Canada to the Ottawa region.

A strong and stable support base is provided to the team by our founding sponsors Fresh Air Experience and the Ottawa Bicycle Club. In addition, the team is supplied Giant TCR Advanced SL3 bicycles, Bell helmets and glasses by Smith Optics.

Our racing activities will take place in Ontario, Quebec, and in the North-eastern United States.

About The Ottawa Bicycle Club
The Ottawa Bicycle Club (OBC) was founded in 1882. We are the oldest and one of the largest bicycle clubs in Canada. The OBC offers a range of cycling programs that appeal to a range of cyclists from novice to experienced riders and racers. Events vary from relaxed country tours with picnic lunches to fast-action road, track and cyclocross racing.

The Ottawa Bicycle Club’s racing program supports youth and new athlete development at the grassroots level with the objective of feeding provincial and national high performance systems. The club’s overall development program is one of the best examples of a community-based program in Canada.
