FQSC Promotes Richard and Thériault and Has 5 Job Opportunities

February 2, 2008 (Montreal, QC) – Following the departures of Mathieu Boucher to the CCA and Chantale Philie to the UCI, the Federation Quebecoise des Sports Cyclistes (FQSC) has promoted two of its sport assistants, reassigned duties with existing staff and posted three job vacancies – two other job postings are imminent.

Simon Thériault will assume Boucher’s former role as mountain biking coordinator on April 1st. Thériault has worked as the FQSC’s mtb sport assistant for two years.

Sylvain Richard has been appointed to coordinator of road and track following four years as an assistant in that sector replacing FQSC director general, Louis Barbeau. Barbeau will assume the position of sports director in addition to his director general duties.

A job vacancy notice at the FQSC site is now posted for a BMX and Paracycling Coordinator to replace Philie. The deadline for submissions is February 7th. Two other positions – Équipe de Chronométrage Vélo de Montagne and Technicien sur l’Équipe de photo-finish et chronométrage route et piste – are posted here in French.

The FQSC also plans to hire a full-time mountain bike assistant and a road and track assistant, but the latter position will only be seasonal.
