October 21, 2014 (Montreal, QC) – The Foundation for Athletic Excellence Quebec (FAEQ) and Saputo have today announced the names of the 41 student-athletes who shared a total of $ 134,000 in scholarships. Twenty-one recipients were awarded a scholarship of Academic Excellence and 20 others received a grant of support to academic and athletic success. This initiative includes a five-year partnership with the FAEQ for total support from Saputo a million dollars.
Mr. Claude Chagnon, President of the FAEQ, said: “Saputo has the advantage of supporting very young student athletes Hopeful and follow them until they emerge on the national and international stage by reaching the status Excellence. Moreover, among the 41 recipients this year, 28 of them are supported by the company for at least two years and some get to a 5th consecutive scholarship Saputo. This shows a great sign of trust and loyalty to the young people who go through all sorts of challenges in reconciling their training, their competitions and the success of their studies in parallel. ”

About the Foundation for Athletic Excellence Quebec
The mission of the Foundation is to provide financial support for student-athletes and support them in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence. Moreover, its role is to contribute to the promotion of models in Quebec society.
