Former Handcycling National Champion Dies

November 30, 2009 (Fredricton, NB) – Former National Handcycling Champion Andrew Reid, was shot and killed in an altercation with county deputies in Fort Stockton, TX on November 20, according to the Daily Gleaner. Reid, of Fredricton, NB won the Canadian Handcycling title in 2001. He became a paraplegic while surfing in San Diego in 1999.
