Final Giro Tests Negative

June 11, 2002. (Aigle, SUI) – The Anti-doping Commission of the UCI reports
that the analysis of all of the urine samples taken at the 2002 Giro for
anti-doping controls has been completed.

The final 36 controls of the 146
controls total taken during this race have all been negative results
regarding the doping products (EPO and NESP included). The ADC of the UCI
reminds nevertheless that in the following weeks it will proceed
examination of all the medical justifications presented for the substances
submitted to restrictions.
