NCCH logoOctober 07, 2014 (Hamilton, ON) – After a hugely successful 2014 season, the NCCH is ramping up for the fall/winter period, and has developed some exciting new programs and initiatives.

2014 delivered some of the greatest results for the Team, which included Ben Perry winning the U23 National Road Championships.

The Centre has an indoor facility that accommodates 20-25 riders in each of its training sessions, riders use Computrainers.

The NCCH employs 3 full time staff, along with a number of part time coaching staff.   This year we have been fortunate to have 2 Australian National team representatives work with our youth, and this has certainly given our young riders insight into world class athletes.

Manager and Head Coach Rick Lee, has worked with many world class athletes, and has a  passion for Track Cycling, having coached riders to over 30 world championship medals.  I cannot wait for the new Velodrome, and I know that our riders will respond to the world class facility, with a world class attitude. We intend conducting structured training sessions at the new Velodrome in Milton when opened”

The NCCH Cycling Development Officer Simon Fothergill, also a member of the Team NCCH p/b DEC Express U23 Elite Team.  Lee said “Simon has developed very well as an Athlete & Coach, he has a real drive for the sport, this is evident with the excellent work he is doing with our Youth Program”

While Maddi Vit from Australia works as Office Support & Female Coach. “Maddi represented Australia at the 2010 World Junior Road Championships, and brings international experience the program. She also has a burning passion for the sport and is an asset to the NCCH”

We have a number of riders who live remote to the Centre, riders from Barrie, Montreal, Australia, USA, all have developed very well using our remote programs, so we have extended this service to riders outside of NCCH p/b DEC Express team, so you do not have to race for the NCCH,  we now offer a small number the opportunity to apply for our services.
