Expodium Bicycle Show – Opens in Montreal this Friday

February 15, 2006 (Montreal, QC) — The 4th edition of Bicycle Show Expodium will open its doors this Friday, February 17-19, at Place Bonaventure. This is the most important show exclusively dedicated to the fascinating world of bicycle and cyclotourism.

Bicycles for everybody!
Visitors will be able to discover the new 2006 bikes such as pro racing team models like the Wilier Thor of team Cofidis or the BMC SLC-01 Team of Phonak. Features examples from Quebec based companies include the Citato by Opus, a high-end performance hybrid and a road bicycle, the Titanium of Argon 18. There are special innovations “made in Quebec” this year such as Go Trike with the launch of its horizontal positioning Tri-cycle and Cycle Bilee, a premiere in Canada for this new recumbent bicycle.

Activities at max heart rate:
Test tracks: TWO test tracks will be available to evaluate and compare a variety of bicycles;

B.M.X. and trial shows: A ramp will project the B.X.M. riders of the Haro/Adidas Eyewear Team. Also the world well-known trial rider Ryan Leech will present 2 seminars “Mastering the Mind Game of Riding” (in English) and perform great trial manoeuvres;

Spintech Cup: A premiere in Quebec, a new indoor cycling race on simulator sanctioned by the Fédération québecoise sports cyclists du Québec (F.Q.S.C.);
Conferences: To learn more about the cycling world, the bicycle, its use, training, cycling destinations and much more.

Cyclotourism:
The Exhibitors of the Cyclotourism section will exhibits nearly 200 destinations, 70 cycling paths and over 75 bicycle trips in Quebec and all over the World. Moreover Montérégie Tourism, will reveal the 2006 edition of 2 cycling maps — one for road circuit and a second for cycling paths, a must have for all Quebec cyclists.

It’s a meeting point for bicycle lover, the 4th edition of the Bicycle Show Expodium at Place Bonaventure, Montreal, February 17th to 19th, presented in collaboration with La Presse, TQS and Énergie 94.3.
