Escape Velocity/dEVo Spring Series 2008

March 15, 2008 – The Escape Velocity/dEVo Spring Series continues this week with racing for the A, B and C groups on both Saturday and Sunday. After last Sunday’s suffer fest on the Armstrong Road hill, the dEVo race organizers have cooked up a slightly longer circuit that encompasses all the elevation gain of Armstrong and is affectionately referred to as “The Snake”. On Sunday, the venue will be the challenging Bradner course, the site of the BC Masters road race.

Race #4: The Snake, Langley, BC
If you liked the Armstrong Road course last week, you are going to love The Snake. This course features a longer 10.1 km lap with a very steep climb off the Fraser River floodplain. If you have an extra lung, be sure to bring it along.

Date: Saturday March 15, 2008

Location: East of Fort Langley, BC. Parking on 88th Avenue near the race start/finish area at the junction of 88th Avenue and 256th Street.

Race #5: Bradner, east of Abbotsford, BC
Challenging 9km circuit in rural Bradner featuring rolling hills, a couple of short climbs and lots of corners. Don’t ride off the front on the first lap if you didn’t pre-ride this course.

Date: Sunday March 16, 2008

Location: Fort Langley, BC. Parking at Bradner Hall, just south of the Start area at the junction of Bradner Road and 58th Avenue.
