October 13, 2005 – On November 10, 2005, Epcor’s Road to Champions – a gourmet culinary experience combined with the remarkable stories of some of Canada’s most celebrated, medal-winning athletes – is coming to Vancouver. I am Chairing the event and would love you to join me, and Honorary Ambassador Steve Podborski, for a gourmet five-course dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, in support of the hopes and dreams of our upcoming young Canadian athletes.

The event will feature chefs Rob Feenie and Vikram Vij. As guests enjoy exquisite food paired with fine wines, the highlighted athletes of each course will speak about their journey on the road to becoming a champion, supported by fascinating footage of their career. Guests will be inspired as great Canadian athletes Silken Laumann, Adam van Koeverden, Kyle Shewfelt, Lori-Ann Muenzer and Simon Whitfield, talk about the experiences that had a crucial impact on their athletic journeys. Funds raised will support each of these athletes’ respective National Sport Federations: Rowing Canada, Canada Canoe Association, Gymnastics Canada, Cycling Canada and Triathlon Canada.
