May 31, 2015 (Albstadt, GER) – Reigning MTB Worlds champ, Catharine Pendrel (Can) Luna Pro Team grabbed another podium spot taking 3rd with Emily Batty (Trek Factory Racing) also on the podium in fourth at round #2 of the UCI MTB World Cup XC in Albstadt, Germany.
Today’s winner, Jolanda Neff (Sui) Stoeckli Pro Team, attacked on the first lap of the 30.16km race – 0.76km Start Loop + 7 4.2km laps – and never looked back as Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjaa (Nor) Multivan Merida Biking Team battled with Pendrel and out-sprinted her for second at that finish.
Batty who had a strong start was in the second chase group and attacked near the end to claim her first WCup podium of the season.
