Gagne 14th in Elite Men’s UCI MTB World Cup XCO#6 @Val di Sole Full Results, Standings + PHOTOS

August 23, 2015 (Val di Sole, Italy) – Nino Schurter (Sui) Scott-Odlo MTB Racing Team triumphed for his third consecutive World Cup victory winning the Elite Men’s 32.4km XCO finale in Val di Sole, Italy capturing the overall series title as well. Julien Absalon (Fra) BMC Mountainbike Racing Team settled for second again, with Florian Vogel (Sui) Focus XC Team in third.

The top Canadian was Raphael Gagne (Rocky Mountain Factory) in 14th followed by Derek Zandstra (Scott-3Rox Racing) in 26th, his teammate Cameron Jette in 71st and Team Canada’s Leandre Bouchard in 96th.

Schurter also topped the Elite Men’s World Cup field with 1,350 points to claim the overall crystal trophy followed by Absalon with 1,110 and  Jaroslav Kulhavy (Cze) Specialized Racing with 932 points. Gagne led the Canadians in 17th with 402 points.
