May 19, 2005 – South Grenville District High School is hosting the first ever Eastern Ontario High School Race – Ottawa-Cornwall-Kingston and everything in between. On May 27th, 2005, this race will be held at Limerick Forest which is 10km north of Prescott, Ontario.

This race was created to introduce students to a new sport that can last them a lifetime. The event is intended for beginner riders but will still be exciting for students with riding/racing experience. Please see the link below for details. Medals will be awarded to the top three riders in each category (male and female) and a trophy will be awarded to the top school (see website for details). This trophy will be a traveling trophy as we have plans to run this event annually. There will also be draw prizes donated by bikeshops.

The Ontario Cycling Association is insuring this event and St. John’s Ambulance will be present as well as numerous volunteers.
