May 19, 2005 – (Rossland, BC.) – DevineRIDE mountain-bike camps, which rocked the Kootenay region last summer, are back by popular demand. DevineRIDE hosted two successful women’s mountain-bike camps last summer, and now the word is out. These camps have established a reputation for delivering a high-caliber camp that focuses on the quality of the riders’ experience, good organization, and qualified, fun instructors.

The hosts past World Downhill Mountain-Bike champion Cindy Devine and World Extreme Skiing Medalist champion Kirsty Exner were pleased with their inaugural season. “It really couldn’t have gone smoother, says Kirsty. “We had a great turn out and great riding. You can’t ask for more than that!

This is an exciting year for DevineRIDE because it is the first year of operation for Red Resort’s new bikepark. This year, Red Resort will be the stage for the Red Freeride Camps hosted by Kirsty Exner and DevineRIDE, and their experienced team of talented and respected mountain biking stars.

The DevineRIDE instructors received rave reviews from participants. Cindy and Kirsty will be joined this year by local Rossland rippers Steph Robinson and Chris Lawrence, and by several riders from nearby Nelson, including Maya Grosch, Deb Mackillop, Mike Kinrade, and many others. This will be a strong team loaded with talent and experience.

The DevineRIDE mountain-bike camps are weekend events. Riders participate in two days of skills instruction, lift-access rides or ride/shuttle access, and technical seminars, plus plenty of time to socialize with fellow riders. There are trails for all abilities and a skill-development area to help participants learn to ride skinnies, do jumps, ride the steeps, and go fast.

There will be women-only and co-ed camps for individuals ages 13 and up. Spaces are already filling up.
