May 3, 2005 (Chicoutimi, Quebec) – Devinci is proud to announce its partnership as the official bikes sponsor of the all new UCI Cross Country Devinci — ProRace team.

The official French team kick-off was held in Belgium, at Spa Francorchamps, during the first UCI World Cup event.

The team leader, Ludovic Dubau swept the 2005 Cross Country World Champion title in the Master’s category.

Returning from a 2-year absence in the World Cup circuit, Ludovic, made an outstanding comeback last season, by shifting from the 125th place to 33rd place in the UCI rankings. Ludovic strongly impressed every one by grabbing the 5th place at the Calgary World Cup event. Pierre Lebreton and Jean-Eudes Demaret will join Ludovic as team members for the 2005 season.

ProRace is the manufacturer of the revolutionary ORBIT crankset. This crankset, which will be marketed shortly, has an internal gear system that’s specifically designed to increase the athlete’s performances.

Devinci has put together a Special Edition Desperado bike, displaying the team’s flamboyant colors.
