Dave Shishkoff Quits GVVA Board in Protest

by pedalmag.com

September 05, 2011 (Victoria, BC) – Dave Shishkoff informed us that he has quit the Board of Directors, and his position as Director of Racing, for the Greater Victoria Velodrome Association (GVVA) in protest claiming conflicts with GVVA president, Chris Anstey, along with alleged incompetence and insensitivity of the Board as the primary reasons for his departure.

Shishkoff joined the GVVA in 2004 and became a Board member in 2005. Apparently Glenn Barr, previously with the Burnaby Velodrome, also quit the Board this past week in protest. Shishkoff has written an Open Letter to the Board and to all members and posted it on his blog HERE.

According its website “The GVVA facilitates track riding and racing on Vancouver Island, at the Juan de Fuca rec center, just outside of Victoria in Colwood.” – read more on the Association HERE.
