Dauphin̩ Lib̩r̩ 2005 РStage 5

June 10, 2005 – Axel Merckx (Davitamon-Lotto) won the 219 km Stage 5 between Vaison-la-Romaine and Grenoble. In a breakaway group Merckx attacked with 110 km to go beating Iñigo Landaluze (Euskaltel-Euskadi) by 2’15. Landaluze took over the leader’s jersey from Levi Leipheimer (USA) Gerolsteiner who finished in the peloton at 9’36. The 57th Critérium du Dauphiné Libéré finishes this weekend.
