January 1, 2006 – Canada’s Lyne Bessette ended 2005 in style, taking a fine third place at the eighth World ‘Cross Cup in Hooglede-Gits, Belgium. Bessette was running in second for most of the race, then fell to third by the end. This is her best result thus far and looks good with the World Championships in just a month’s time.
