February 13, 2015 – Here is the latest news from Cycling BC, including information about the upcoming Spring Series road races, which kick off on Mar. 1, a report from BMX Future Champions Camps, iRide Field Trips, BMX BC Cup #’s 1 and 2, and more.

Road Spring Season Begins – Mar. 1
Escape Velocity ushers in the spring season in two weeks, as they kick off their Spring Series with the Aldergrove Short Road Race and Time Trial, March 1. More info here.

BMX Future Champions Camps Report
Cycling BC’s Future Champs program was a huge hit in its 2015 BMX debut! Sunday’s camp was open registration and over thirty riders turned up to show off their skills. The BMX Future Champs program is designed to introduce the essential skills of racing to  all riders in the eleven and under category. “The great thing about this program is that it gives us coaches a chance to identify what skills and abilities are essential for riders of this age,” said Adam Muys, regarding the future champs program. iRide Field Trips
Braemar Elementary students impressed coaches Lesley Tomlinson & Rachel Canning at the TaG Cycling iRide field trip last week, as iRide participation grows to 6800. Read more here.

BMX BC Cup #1 & 2
The BMX BC Cup kicks off on Saturday, with on-site registration and practice starting at 2:30 pm. Practice runs Friday night from 5 – 9 pm. More info here.
