May 07, 2013 (Vancouver, BC) – Thanks to a grant from the TELUS Vancouver Community Board, youth aged 6-16 in the Greater Vancouver Area and the Tri-Cities will participate in Cycling BC’s Bike Start Program – Let’s Learn, Let’s Ride, Let’s Race.
This program will teach safe riding etiquette and core bike skills: braking, straight line riding, tight turning, gearing & cadence, cornering, front wheel lifting, ducking, picking up and dropping off, mounts and dismounts, bumping and buzzing.
We would like to invite you to the British Properties 1st session of the Bike Start Program on Thursday, May 9th at 3:30 pm, where Trevor Linden will present Cycling BC with the TELUS Vancouver Community Board Grant.
Trevor Linden has been active in supporting charities since he arrived in Vancouver in 1988 and has received many awards since then. He launched the Trevor Linden Foundation in 1997 which supports groups that are engaged in youth development programs.
