April 21, 2006 – Three Keg staff members are setting out to cycle across Canada on April 24. Steve Fidler (Vancouver, BC), Adrian Pusiak (Toronto, ON) and Jeremy Cummings (St. John’s, NL) will begin their “Cycle for Spirit” in Victoria, and finish in St. John’s in early August – just in time for Jeremy’s wedding – crossing through many Keg cities along the way.
These riders are not avid cyclists. Rather, they are ordinary Keggers that wanted to do something extraordinary. Their goal is to raise $150,000 for children’s charities through The Keg Spirit Foundation.
What makes this cycle across Canada different is the support of more than 7,000 Keg staff from across North America rallying behind the ride. They are selling wristbands, holding silent auctions and sponsoring other fund-raising initiatives. The Cycle for Spirit is also supported by corporate sponsors, and all additional costs relating to both the ride and the foundation are fully funded by The Keg Steakhouse & Bar. One hundred per cent of the money raised will go directly to local charities through The Keg Spirit Foundation.
