Coupe des Nations Names Mary-Ann Bell as Honorary President

February 25, 2008 (Saguenay, QC) – Mr Bernard Noël, organizing committee chairman of the Coupe des Nations is proud to announce that Madam Mary-Ann Bell, Chief Operating Officer of Bell Aliant, has accepted the honour of presidency for la Coupe des Nations, a national cycling competition to be held June 5-8, 2008 in Saguenay. Madam Mary-Ann Bell has donated $25,000 to the organizing committee.

Noël is very happy to have Mary-Ann Bell on his team. She is extremely pleased that this event is held in Saguenay because it’s the first time that la Coupe des Nations is presented in North America. Noël also wants to thank all other partners: Promotion Saguenay ($75,000 $), Rio Tinto Alcan ($25,000), Hôtel le Montagnais ($25,000), Devinci ($15,000) and Nutrinor ($10,000).

Noël has emphasized the assistance of several people associated with this event: Marc Fortin (Samson-Bélair), Réjean Maltais (retired Caisses populaire), Lina Gravel (retired teacher), Guy Simard (retired TQS/Radio-Canada), Marc Saint-Pierre (Gravel et Lévesque), Richard Brabant (Tourism), Louis Coulombe (Cain, Lamarre, Casgrain, Wells), Danielle Godin, Jeannot Allard et Pierre Racine ( Ville de Saguenay).

Noël also wishe to thank the municipal services for their professionalism and their know-how on the technicality. Finally, Mr Noël wants to thank all Quebecois media for their effort in the promotion of this event.
