August 31, 2005 – Midweek’s fall race moves from Corso Italia to Downsview Park to become a key event at the 5th Annual Downsview Park Fall Festival on September 18th

Bring the whole family and make a day of it. Encourage your kids on while they race the kid’s (aged 4 and over) and teen’s races. Cheer-on your spouse while she/he races in the adult test & try race. Scream with delight as the dare-devil bicycle couriers tear-up the Downsview course. And let them cheer you on to victory in your race.

Midweek has selected Downsview Park’s Fall Festival to ensure there is something more than just another bike race to end a fantastic summer of racing. We encourage the whole cycling community to make this into a party.

Other family oriented Fall Festival activities include beginning the day with Downsview Park’s 25th anniversary celebration of the Terry Fox Run between 10 am and 12 noon on Downsview Park Run Site. Continue the festivities at noon with an exciting celebration of your best memories of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Twist, jitterbug and jive to the music of Chubby Checker, the Coasters, Elvis Presley, Hank Williams and the Big Bopper.

Groove to the melodies of the Beatles, Peter Paul and Mary, The Beach Boys and feel the soul of Aretha Franklyn, The Four Tops and The Temptations. Marvel at mint condition restorations of your favourite automobiles of yesteryear and sample the food, fads and fetishes you and your children will cherish for years to come.
