February 11, 2009 – Spanish star Alejandro Valverde (Caisse d’Epargne) has been linked to the Operation Puerto blood doping case and has been summoned to appear before CONI (Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano), the Italian Olympic Committee’s anti-doping commission, reports AP in the Herald Tribune.
