Congratulations – Will Routley and Shoshauna Laxson Tie the Knot

December 20, 2013 (Abbotsford, BC) – Former Canadian road champ, William Routley (Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies) and Shoshauna Laxson (Trek Red Truck Racing Team) also from BC, tied the knot last month.

“Will was wed on Nov. 20th in Mismaloya, Mexico to his long-time sweetheart, Shoshauna Laxson and now Shoshauna Routley,” his father, Tony Routley, told Pedal. “I think about 52 friends and relatives made it to the wedding that was a perfect day.”

Routley, 30, the 2010 Canadian road champ (he won silver in 2011) rode for Symmetrics from 2005-2008. After that, he rode for Jelly Belly in 2009-10; SpiderTech-C10 in 2011-12; Accent Jobs-Wanty in 2013; and has now signed with Optum for 2014.

The bride, Shoshauna Routley (nee Laxson) is an accomplished road cyclist in her own right and is one of Trek Red Truck Racing Team’s top riders. According to her profile on the team website, Laxson is 26 years old with six years of experience in the sport. She holds a degree in horticulture and is attending University of the Fraser Valley, studying Kinesiology and French.
