Congratulations – Daniel Manibal Weds Former Assistant Jacinthe Lemire

by John Symon

July 30, 2012 – Daniel Manibal, organizer of the former Montreal Women’s Road World Cup (MWWC) series, recently married his former assistant, Jacinthe Lemire, according to information on Facebook. A photo posted there shows Manibal walking down the aisle with Lemire, presumably taken this past weekend.

The MWWC was part of the UCI Road World Cup series between 1998 and 2009, the last year MWWC was held. That year, the race was won by Emma Pooley (Gbr) Cervélo TestTeam with Errine Willock (Can) Webcor Builders the top Canadian in 8th place. The full results of that May 30, 2009 race featured many of the same names as did the July 29, 2012 Olympic women’s road race in London.

The 111km MWWC race circuit, repeatedly going up-and-over Mount Royal, is a shortened version of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montreal race circuit where WorldTour riders will compete on September 9, 2012.
