September 29, 2014 (Vancouver, BC) – The Canadian Independent Bicycle Retailers Association (CIBRA) is pleased to invite our valued independent retailer members to a first-of-its-kind retail leadership and education Summit this Fall in Vancouver, British Columbia. From October 26-28th, CIBRA will be hosting Canadian IBD owners and managers at a premier education and training event designed for, and driven by, our independent retailer stakeholders.

View the complete agenda here – EARLY BIRD savings extended to Oct. 10.

Earlier this year we asked you to tell us, in a national survey of Canadian IBDs, what were the most pressing issues that you face everyday in your business and what areas you would most like to see addressed at a retail education and training event. Your responses, along with the input of our planning committee of seasoned Canadian retailers and suppliers, informed the development of this year’s CIBRA Leadership Summit 2014.

The CIBRA Leadership Summit 2014 will feature:

• Expert speakers and renowned business innovators and leaders like Donny Perry, John Stanton, Kevin Simpson, and James Wilson

• Hands-on workshops for IBD owners and managers covering operations, cost and profitability, tracking KPIs, staff coaching, and more

• Panel sessions covering current Canadian trends and issues affecting IBDs

• Industry reception and Awards dinner

CIBRA is committed to ensuring this event brings you the most relevant and up-to-date knowledge, tools, and strategies to help you keep retail-fit in today’s competitive marketplace.

CHANGE IS COMING TO BIKE STORES IN CANADA – ARE YOU READY?
Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity to hear retail leaders and innovators weigh in on the state of the cycling trade in Canada:

Donny Perry, author, former IBD  – SUPER SESSION

This SUPER SESSION is well worth the investment. Early Bird registration now open. Limited space available.

John Stanton, Owner of The Running Room  – SUPER SESSION

John Stanton created his first meeting place for runners over 25 years ago out of the back of a hairdressing shop in Edmonton. John will speak about his passion for wellness and a healthy lifestyle and how he turned that passion into a tremendously successful retail business.  John will share his account of forging strong connections with consumers by providing value in product and expertise, and creating a fun and familiar meeting place. There is limited space available for this luncheon SUPER SESSION. Please register today to save $100

James Wilson, Owner of Obsession: Bikes and Leadership Summit Chair

James is passionate about his store, his staff, his customers and the sustainability of IBD’s in Canada.  His vision for the Summit is to create an opportunity for dealers to meet, learn and share with one another in an informal atmosphere. Wilson will share his thoughtful and specific views on the industry and its future on a panel and in our informal networking sessions.
