April 12, 2006 – Hello Fellow Cyclists!

With the trails drying out early, it is time to really start thinking about the upcoming event season.

The Plastiglas Ontario Cup #1 is right around the corner taking place at Mansfield on April 30, 2006. This event is the season opener and it is taking place on a course that offers a lot of drainage, great singletrack, and is an excellent way to test the legs out. The first 250 pre-registered for this event will also receive Plastiglas Ontario Cup Event T-Shirts.

For riders who do not hold an OCA or UCI licence there are one-days are available for the 9:00am and 10:30am categories (except Expert Women). Pre-registration closes 5 days prior the event, but event day registration is available on site.

Get your race teams together for the 6th annual Duke’s Epic 8 Spring Relay, presented by Manitou on Saturday, May 27 at Mansfield. Solo, tag-teams, 3-4 person or 5-6 person teams make up the mix at this exciting team-based event! Use this as a way to get your team primed and ready for the already sold-out 24 Hours of Summer Solstice presented by Sporting Life, June 24-25!

The 24 Hours at Albion: Hot August Nights is also starting to sell very quickly. If you haven’t registered your team yet for this event taking place August 19-20, make sure you do so sooner rather than later to receive the best campsites.
