September 28, 2005 — Cervélo Cycles is pleased to announce that they will be screening the new Team CSC documentary “Overcoming” by Danish director Tómas Gislason during Interbike 2005.
Overcoming, which is not yet in general theatrical release and in fact only had its world premiere on September 13 at the International Film Festival in Cervélo’s home town Toronto, was made available by special arrangement with Nordisk Film A/S.
Cervélo, in association with Team CSC equipment partners Speedplay and ZIPP, will be presenting two screenings daily on September 28, 29 and 30.
Each evening there will be a VIP invitation only screening at 7:00 PM and a free general admission screening at 9:00 PM. The film will be screened at MRC Focus Rat Pack Theatre Suite, 101 Convention Center Drive Plaza 125.
Tickets for the VIP screenings as well as information on how to attend the 9pm screening will be available at Cervélo’s Interbike booth (#4543), during show hours. The theatre has a very limited capacity.
“We are very pleased to be able to present Overcoming at Interbike,” said Gerard Vroomen, Cervélo co-founder, “and would like to thank Nordisk Film A/S for their help and enthusiasm in making it possible. We were fortunate enough to be able to attend the festival premiere in Toronto with the whole company and after seeing the movie we really wanted to offer that same opportunity to our customers. Unlike other sports there have been very few films that provide an insider’s look into the world of professional cycling,” Overcoming is a feature film that provides interesting insights and a behind the scenes glimpse of the traditionally closed world of professional cycling. And as you will see in Overcoming, they couldn’t have picked a more spectacular team than Team CSC.”
